Acadia National Park Bat Capture Data - Long term bat mist-netting data: 2008 – 2023; Full - Protected version

This package contains data from long-term bat (Chiroptera) sampling efforts at sites within Acadia National Park (ANP). Sites were distributed across Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula between the years 2008-2023. Bats were captured in mist nets and a subsample were tracked to roosting sites with radio telemetry. For most bats captured, tissue samples were collected for larger studies assessing White-nose syndrome or genetic diversity. The primary goal of the efforts collecting these data is to monitor the species composition and relative abundance of the bat community at ANP. These data can be used to investigate population vital signs or long-term trends.
