Microbial community dynamics in paddy soil of West Bengal, India under varied arsenic concentrations

This project investigates the dynamics of microbial communities to arsenic amendments in paddy soils from West Bengal, India. This study aims to delineate the community profiles and functional characterisation of microorganisms (bacteria and archaea) inhabiting arsenic-impacted and control soils. The generated datasets capture key genes and metabolic pathways involved in arsenic transformation, redox cycling, organic matter turnover, and nutrient processing. These data provide insights into how elevated arsenic levels alter microbial community composition and biogeochemical processes in flooded rice agroecosystems.
