VPRS 1862 Department Orders

This volume which contains orders issued by the Government Printer to his staff. Individual orders relate largely to aspects of printing procedures or staff issues. There is usually one order per page. Many orders contain signatures or initials presumably of the staff or managers to whom the orders applied.Very few entries were made in the last 20 years of the volume (1905 - 1925). More than half of the volume was not used suggesting that no further volumes were created.
