Core Emotion Framework (CEF): data and analysis code for "Emotions as Movements" (reproducibility package)

Note (2 November 2026): The rows of Table B1 on the ten-factor and one-factor models, the three centres, and the counter-poles and balancers tested the analysts' reading of the framework as ten stable traits in a fixed structure, not claims the Core Emotion Framework makes. Those results do not bear on the framework, and the negative verdicts drawn from them in "Emotions as Movements" are withdrawn as evidence about CEF (see the correction notice for that article). Version 1.2 of this package (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23875250) explains which results test the framework's own claims. The data and code here are unchanged. De-identified data and analysis code behind the numbers in Section 6 ("Empirical status") of J. Bulgaria, "Emotions as Movements: The Core Emotion Framework and Its Place in the Philosophy of Emotion". Appendix B of the article maps each number to a script in this package. Contains the CEF Phase 1 survey (N = 826 responses; 822 after cleaning), the CEF pilot studies and the Understanding survey with participant IDs replaced by codes, the CEF lexicon EL-1, the Python and R scripts, and their outputs. Third-party open datasets are not included; the README gives their sources and a download script. All analyses are exploratory. See README.md inside the zip.
