A newly developed, environmentally friendly and high-performance cathode (Na0.85Mn0.4Fe0.3Ni0.2Zn0.1O2) has been successfully synthesized. The experiments presented herein focus on elucidating the dynamic changes in the oxidation state of Fe during cycling, using synchrotron Mössbauer spectroscopy. This research aims to enhance our understanding of the charge compensation mechanism within this cathode component.
