A recent combinatorial screen within the Adams lab identified the paralogues FAM50A and FAM50B as potential synthetic lethal genes. These genes are poorly characterised with limited known function. To allow initial investigation into the function of these genes we have performed a genome wide CRISPR screen in a cancer cell line with and without FAM50A.
