Biochar-Soil-GHG Metadata

The dataset consists of structured metadata extracted from a global systematic review of peer-reviewed field studies on biochar-soil systems. It includes quantitative observations reported across multiple domains: soil chemical properties (pH, total nitrogen, organic carbon, cation exchange capacity, and others); biochar characteristics (application rate, feedstock type, pyrolysis temperature, and duration); greenhouse gas emissions (CH₄, N₂O, CO₂ fluxes); microbial indicators (gene abundances, microbial biomass, and enzymatic activity; management variables (fertiliser inputs, crop type, and trial duration); and environmental context (soil type, climate zone, bulk density, and precipitation). This supports multivariate analysis and systems biology modelling.
