The Oscheius tipulae strain JU46 carries the recessive mutation mf33 in the CEW1 background (reference genome). In order to map and indentify this mutation, It was crossed with the mapping strain JU170. Genomic DNA was extracted and pooled from several independant mutant F2 lines and sent for sequencing on a Illumina Hiseq 2000 plateforms to generate 100-bp paired-end reads.
