This study aims to investigate the autotrophic carbon fixation strategies in seagrass bed sediments, North China. The sediment samples of seagrass beds were respectively collected from the Lidao Bay, Sanggou Bay and Swan Lake in Weihai Rongcheng city in April 2021, when the Zostera marina has emerged seedlings. The metagenomic analysis of functional genes encoding key enzymes involving in six carbon fixation pathways were used to characterize the corresponding pathways. The biodiversity and community structure of the autotrophic microorganisms were analyzed. Furthemore, the impacts of environmental factors on the autotrophic microorganisms were revealed.
