Mileposts are represented by a physical sign along the side of the road providing a distance reference from a given point, usually the beginning of the road. They are reviewed and updated every 1-2 years is possible depending on where they are. Mileposts for roads on the main road system have a higher frequency of review and update then those on remote roads.
