资源简介:
The current project targets the establishment of comprehensive library of recyclable sulfur-decorated semicrystalline
polymers. Poly(thioethers) form a distinct class of materials with polymer backbones that
incorporate functional groups, exhibiting unique properties that set them apart from conventional
hydrocarbon-based polymers. Specifically, sulfur-decorated polymers show excellent optical performance,
chemical recyclability, adhesive properties, and heavy metal removal capabilities alongside controlled
oxidation and degradation. The structural analysis required for the aforementioned conclusions can be provided by the SAXS/WAXS in transmission and X-ray scattering setups of the BM26 beamline. This will give useful insights into the physicochemical properties and microstructure of the novel family of sulfur-decorated polymers. Comparing different structures will provide insights concerning materials that hold promise for addressing critical environmental challenges.
