资源简介:
This dataset brings together and standardizes three releases of the Area Deprivation Index (ADI) from 2015, 2020, and 2022. The ADI is a measure used to assess the socioeconomic conditions of neighborhoods, originally based on data from the 1990s. A research team at the University of Wisconsin adapted the ADI to use more recent neighborhood data, allowing for a more detailed understanding of area-level disadvantage

However, unlike the original method, the team didn’t adjust individual factors (like income and home values) before combining them into an overall score. This approach unintentionally made factors measured in dollars, such as income and home values, more influential in the final score. This dataset corrects for that by standardizing these factors, offering a balanced view of socioeconomic conditions across neighborhoods. It provides ADI rankings for neighborhoods nationwide and also ranks neighborhoods by socioeconomic standing within each state.
