RNA-Seq of liver tissues from 5-methoxytryptamine treated HFD mice

Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that tryptophan metabolism plays important roles in glucose and lipid metabolism. In our study, we demonstrated that 5-methoxytryptamine (5MT) treatment ameliorated hepatic insulin resistance in high-fat diet (HFD) mice. RNA sequencing was performed to explore the molecular mechanism underlying the role of 5MT in improving hepatic insulin resistance.
