Data for "Spray–Gas Counterflow Interactions in an Absorber Column"

Data set for publication Spray Dynamics in Absorber Conditions. Contains experimental data obtained by high-speed visualization (tiff images), Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA) (txt. files), and data from simulations (csx. file). The data set also contains boundary conditions such as pressure, water, and gas mass flow rate for study reproducibility (xlsx). Data from high-speed visualization were used to determine the velocity field around the spray in counter-flow and to determine gas entrainment. Droplet size data and velocities obtained from PDA were used to derive gas velocities by Stokes analysis. Results from experiments were compared with numerical simulations.
