Supplementary data to publication “Plasma metabolome alteration in dairy cows with left displaced abomasum before and after surgical correction”

The
metabolism of dairy cows with left displaced abomasum (LDA) undergoes
substantial changes. A metabolomics approach was used to investigate the
changes of plasma metabolites in cows with LDA before and after surgical correction. Our results indicate that during LDA, amino
acid levels decrease and lipid levels increase in cows with LDA, whereas these
amino acids increase and lipids decrease after surgery. Pathway analysis revealed that surgical treatment reversed the changes in amino acid
and lipid metabolism in cows with LDA. This study provides novel information
that will advance our understanding of the metabolic changes in cows with LDA.
