This dataset was obtained from experiments conducted at the University of Edinburgh’s FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility on a scaled model of a lazy wave power cable. The experiments were performed in FloWave’s 25 m diameter, 2 m deep circular wave tank, which is capable of generating controlled current conditions. During testing, the cable was subjected to uniform inline currents ranging from 0.1 to 0.9 m/s, aligned with the cable orientation. Displacement responses in the X, Y, and Z directions were measured at 37 locations along the cable length and are provided in the accompanying data files.
