The input parameters consisted of geometric variables (soft soil thickness, d0; drain length, d1; smear extent, d7; PVD radius, d8), soil properties (modified compressibility indices λ*, d2 and κ*, d3; horizontal permeability, d4; smear zone permeability, d5), and loading conditions (surcharge, d6). The primary output was the final settlement, denoted as Y.
