Parishin treatment alleviates cardiac senescence in naturally aged mice

Heart aging progressively decreases physiological function and drives chron-ic/degenerative aging-related heart diseases. Therefore, delaying heart aging and devel-oping anti-aging products are important. The present study aims to investigate the anti-aging effects and underlying mechanism of parishin, a phenolic glucoside isolated from traditional Chinese medicine Gastrodia elata. Heart tissue samples from young (12 weeks), parishin-treated (20 mg/kg/d), and untreated aged (19 months) mice were collected to determine the cardiac transcriptomic changes.
