With the rapid development of the digital economy and the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, digital art IP has become a core carrier of cultural creativity and commercial value. From the perspective of platform empowerment, this study integrates Platform Empowerment Theory, Value Co-creation Theory and IP Commercialization Theory to explore the value co-creation mechanism and profit path of digital art IP commercialization, based on 328 valid samples from creators, platforms, consumers and licensors. The results show that digital platforms promote commercialization through content, channel and technology empowerment, with technology empowerment having the strongest impact. Different empowerment models shape distinct interaction mechanisms and profit paths. User-participated co-creation leads to derivative development and paid customization, while creator-platform collaboration drives brand authorization and advertising monetization. IP influence and target market characteristics moderate the relationship among platform empowerment, value co-creation and profit performance.
