Why does green finance bypass Uzbekistan's largest export sector? Evidence from the cotton-textile value chain

Replication package (data and code) for the paper "Why does green finance bypass Uzbekistan's largest export sector? Evidence from the cotton-textile value chain." This package reproduces the export-destination analysis reported in Table 5 of the paper: a comparison of cotton-and-textile value-chain upgrading and buyer-market integration across six cotton-and-textile-exporting economies (Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Viet Nam, Türkiye). It contains (1) raw bilateral export data for HS commodity codes 5201, 5205, 5208, 61 and 62, downloaded from the UN Comtrade Database (https://comtradeplus.un.org), one file per country; (2) a Python script (analysis.py) that computes, for each country, the apparel share of the value chain, the share of apparel exports reaching four brand-audited destination markets, the share reaching three proximate/regional markets, and partner coverage; and (3) the script's output table. Bangladesh is included for 2015–2018 only, reflecting the limits of available bilateral partner-level detail at the time of collection; see the accompanying README for full documentation.
