Production of citrus fruits in Tunisia 2016-2021

In 2021, the production of citrus fruits in Tunisia was forecast at 410 thousand metric tons, representing an increment compared to the previous year. In the period examined, the production peaked at 560 thousand metric tons in 2017. Citrus fruits constitute a significant portion of the agricultural outputs in Tunisia. In 2019/2020, a land area of 29 thousand hectares was devoted to citrus trees in the country.
