Anopheles darlingi is the main vector of malaria in the Amazon Region, generally confined to rural, lowland forested locations. Forest degradation, increased housing in the borderline of forest and climate changes have major influences on anopheline populations. Genetic variability on A. darlingi could represent phenotypically variability that could influence important epidemiological traits. In this sense, it is important to generate tools to reveal Anopheles darlingi genetic variability, even in sympatric populations. In order to characterize Anopheles darlingi microgeographic population structure, this study analyzed three populations from Amazon basin, Acre State, Brazil. These areas have different levels of deforestation, inhabitants and urbanization. Double digest restriction-site associated DNA sequencing (ddRADseq) was used to characterize these populations. a
