The patent document is a measurement unit for scientific and technological productivity commonly used as a technological indicator. Patent studies mainly focus on frequency counts by year, country, assignee and inventor. There are scarce studies on the technical classifications and contents of the invention. The aim of this paper is to propose the use of the International Patent Classification and content analysis of some fields of the patent document as a unit of measurement and analysis to conduct a study on patent metrics in the technological domain vegetable oil combustion. A set of simple and relational indicators were used and the software proINTEC analyzed the data. The interpretation of the results proves that the information contained in patent documents from this domain is relevant for the goals of the project in the present case study.

专利文献是科技生产力的衡量单元,亦是一类常用的技术指标。现有专利研究多聚焦于按年份、国家、专利权人及发明人维度开展的频次统计,但针对发明的技术分类与技术内容的相关研究仍较为匮乏。本文旨在提出采用国际专利分类(International Patent Classification)以及对专利文献部分字段的内容分析,作为衡量与分析单元,针对植物油燃烧技术领域的专利计量指标展开研究。本研究采用了一系列简单关联型指标,并借助proINTEC软件完成了数据分析。对研究结果的解读证实,本案例研究中该技术领域专利文献所蕴含的信息,与本次项目的研究目标高度相关。
