Balancing Growth and Environmental Impact: The Mediating Role of Sustainable Business Models and the Moderating Influence of Market Dynamism

This research establishes a holistic theoretical model by integrating Resource-Based View (RBV), Stakeholder Theory, and Institutional Theory to decode the impacts of sustainability drivers on environmental outcomes. Informed by the traditional growth theories, which basically point towards an increase in resource consumption and pollution, the role of Sustainable Business Models (SBMs) as mediating factors has been emphasized. SBMs are used as tools through which green innovations, stakeholder pressures, and institutional forces are translated into tangible positive impacts on the environment. Furthermore, this research examines how market dynamism influences this outcome, implying that while environmental turbulent volatility may act as a catalyst or inhibitor based on the specifications of each sustainability driver, these impacts in particular ways depending on the sustainability driver in question.
