Sustainable and environmentally friendly production of biopolyethylene: A comprehensive strategy for modeling of bioethylene polymerization in fluidized bed reactors

Video clips show hydrodynamic behaviors in the fluidized bed column using perforated plate distributors and slotted distributors with inclination angles of 30, 45 and 60 degrees. The vertical velocity component results in vertical motions of particles. Swirling motions of particles are caused by the horizontal velocity component. For slotted distributors, swirling motions of particles are observed above the distributors. As the inclination angle increases, the bed expansion increases due to a higher value of the vertical velocity component. In the case of perforated plate distributors, the largest bed expansion is obtained.
