Dataset for Fuel Generator Usage in Nigeria

This dataset presents electricity generation and use from 500 fuel generators in the North-Central of Nigeria, as part of the Zero Emission Generation (ZE-Gen) Accelerator Initiative, implemented by the Access to Energy Institute (A2EI). Data collection was distributed across several customer end-use categories. Key data such as power distribution dynamics, energy distribution and usage patterns were recorded from the fuel generators. Each generator was equipped with smart energy meters that recorded directly to Prospect platform through an Application Programming Interface (API). Data are logged every 5 minutes covering a period of 18 months for each customer category.
