Using natural patches of the species Richardia grandiflora, we assessed the composition of flower visitors, the number of flowers visited, and the frequency of visits in patches of different sizes (n = 159). In addition, we measured the inter- and intra-patch-size pollen transfer (pollen from patches of different sizes and from the same patch/same patch size, respectively) using fluorescent dyes as pollen analogues (n = 40).<br>The column names in the dataset refer to:1. Patch = patch identification given when collecting the data2. flower_abundance = the number of flowers counted in the patch3. colour = the colour of fluorescent dyes we applied on the flowers of a given patch4. patch_size = the classification of size we created for the range of patches in our study 5. total_pollen_flow = the total number of colours we recorded on the flowers of a given patch6. inter_patch_flow = the total number of colours we recorded on the flowers of a given patch coming from different patch sizes7. intra_pollen_flow = the totall number of colours we recorded on the flowers of a given patch coming from the same patch/same patch size8. visitor_richness = the number of visitor species recorded in a given patch9. visitor_abundance = the number of individuals visiting a given patch10. visited_flowers = the number of flowers which received a visit in a given patch11. freq_visits_per_flower = the frequency of visits one single flower was visited in a given patch
