In this study, transcriptomics and broad target metabolomics techniques were used to jointly analyze the effects of H. cunea on the gene expression level and metabolite content in Polulus canadansis, to explore the key genes and key metabolites, and to analyze the biological process of poplar in response to insect stress. It is of great significance to reveal the regulatory network of poplar in response to insect stress, and to provide theoretical basis and candidate genes for improving the insect resistance of poplar by genetic engineering in the future.
