Safety brake device

The invention is based on a safety brake device for a machine tool for braking a machining tool driven by a drive unit via an output unit. The safety brake device comprises at least one decoupling device which is provided to decouple the output unit from the drive unit during a braking operation in order to reduce a rotational mass of the output unit to be braked. Furthermore， the safety brake device also comprises at least one brake device comprising at least a first brake device part and a second brake device part， the first brake device part being arranged on the output unit essentially in a rotationally fixed manner and in which the second brake device part is intended to be arranged in a substantially rotationally fixed manner with respect to the machine tool. The first braking device part and the second braking device part are intended to interact mechanically with one another during a braking operation and to brake， in particular to stop， rotation of the output unit. According to the invention， the first braking device part of the braking device is made in one piece with the decoupling device.
