RNA sequencing of cortical tissue after rehabilitative training in post-stroke mice

We induced a hemorrhagic injury restricted in the dorsal lateral striatum of mice, to investigate changes in gene expression that are specifically induced by behavioral rehabilitative training in remote cortical areas, where axonal processes reciprocally terminate to and from the infarct dorsal striatum. We demonstrated that the rehabilitative training induced transcriptome regulations in the cortex that are substantially different from the ones without such an intervention post-hemorrhage. Specifically, DEGs were related to blood vessel repair.
