资源简介:
This dataset was used to evaluate the determinants of task participation in a a group of wild chacma baboons. the dataset consists of two datasets, each corresponding to one cogntiive task: a task involving paper bags and a task involving a blue cardboard square. Both datasets contain the following information:1. Individual: Name of each individual tested.2. Trial: Trail number3. Sex: The sex (Male or Female) of each individual.4. Age: The age (Adult or Juvenile) of each individual.5. Troop: The troop (J or L) each individual belonged to. 6. Social Rank: The hierarchical rank of each individual.7. Contact: Whether each individual contacted the stimulus in a given trial (1, yes; 0, no).8. Latency: The latency to the stimulus, from when it was first seen to contact. 9. Exploratory time: The time individuals explored or handled the stimulus. 10. Distance to stimulus: The distance at which the stimulus was presented (WITHIN a radius of 2.5m; BEYOND a radius of 2.5m).11. Neophobia: The neophobic score assigned to each individual.12. Interruptions: Whether an individual was interrupted whilst it was exploring the stimulus. 13. Total time: The total time of the trial. 14. High-E Activity: Whether the individual was involved in a high-engagement (e.g. foraging, grooming, drinking) activity at the time of testing (Yes, No).15. Scrounging rate: The scrounging rate of individuals based on the numbe rof times they joined an occupied foraging patch.
ONLY the "paper bags stimulus" dataset contains the following information:
1. Neophobia 2: Categorical representation of Neophobia scores based on tertiles. Used for graphical purposes. ONLY the "blue cardboard square stimulus" dataset contains the following information:
1. Group: Based on a randomly assigned treatment group.
