资源简介:
Glioma, the most common primary tumor in the central nervous system, presents significant challenges in treatment. Researchers are now investigating novel approaches to convert glioma cells into functional neurons. This study explores the conversion process using a combination of small molecule compounds (SLCDS) and examines the underlying mechanisms. Results demonstrate that SLCDS effectively transforms human glioma cells into mature neurons while suppressing markers associated with glioma malignancy. Upregulation of neuronal transcription factors and inhibition of glioma proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis are observed with SLCDS treatment. These findings suggest a promising therapeutic strategy for glioma treatment. Comparative gene expression analysis of RNA-seq data for U251 cells incubated with the small-molecule combination SLCDS for 18 days in three experimental samples and three control samples.
