Extractable iron and carbon from permafrost soils in Greenland and Alaska
收藏资源简介:
Study data of the manuscript "Soil hydrology determines the fate of iron-associated organic carbon in circumpolar permafrost soils". The file "Study data" contains basic site identificators (Region, Site name, Soil profile, Depth), soil properties (C, N, pH, texture), and data about extractable iron (Fe) and organic carbon (OC) using calciumchloride (CaCl2), sodiumpyrophosphate (Na-PP), hydroxylamine (Hxl) and sodium dithionite in water (DH2O). The file "Method test" contains data about a method test prior to extraction with dithionite and water to test the comparabilty of this method with the common extraction with sodium dithionite and citrate. There, a subset of samples from the study was used to extract Fe and OC with dithionite + citrate (DC), dithoinite + hydrochloric acid (DHCl) and with dithionite + water (DH2O).
