KM1906 SCOPE-Gradients-3 Underway Chlorophyll, PATP, 14C & 33P Samples

The SCOPE-Gradients program was designed to test conceptual and mathematical models of biogeochemical organization across the transition zone between different ecosystems. We employed a suite of interdisciplinary sampling strategies on process cruises transecting across the North Pacific subtropical gyre, the transition zone and into the subpolar gyres in order to determine whether the theory underlying our models and driving hypotheses were sufficiently robust to predict in situ observations. This dataset contains surface seawater concentrations of particulate pools of phosphorus (PPO4), adenosine-5'-triphosphate (PATP) and chlorophyll (chl) collected from the ships uncontaminated seawater system. Radioisotope techniques were used to measure primary productivity (14C) and phosphate uptake rates (33P). The timestamp is in UTC.
