Mouse_somatic_mutations_in_normal_tissue___targeted

Somatic mutations present in the genome of a cell can provide insights into the developmental history of the lineage that gave rise to that cell. Mutations occurring at early embryonic divisions will be present mosaically in the adult animal. We are sequencing 56 tissues from two mice to obtain in total 1000x coverage per animal two construct a catalogue of embryonic mutations. Genotyping these embryonic mutations in single cells will allow us to construct the most detailed lineage tree for mammalian development up to date.
