Illumina sequencing of pearl gentian grouper intestine

In this study, the SMRT sequencing was performed to generate full-length transcriptome of pearl gentian grouper hindgut using SMRT sequencing technology (PacBio) for the first time. Based on the obtained transcriptome data, we performed transcript functional annotation, coding sequence prediction, LncRNA prediction, sample sequence repeat (SSR) analysis. This study would not only be a valuable resource for further investigation of pearl gentian grouper, but also pave the way for the application of the third-generation sequencing technology in other fish.
