Therefore, the position of the feature instance will \nbe within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That \nis, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = \n25m and 1:100000 = 50m. 水主题数据集基于水文学展开——水文学是研究水体运动、分布与水质的学科，涵盖水文循环、水资源及流域环境可持续性等内容。水文学包含地表水文学、水文地质学、流域管理以及以水为核心要素的水质研究范畴。本数据集的水体（地表水与地下水）信息符合2007年《水法》中的相关定义。
本主题包含如下水文要素：
1. 地表水：指水道、湖泊或湿地中的水体，或自然降雨后径流至地表、或从地下自然涌出至地表的水体。
2. 地下水：指存储于地下并经抽取、转移或释放至该位置以便储存的水体，不包括地下储槽、管道或其他设施内留存的水体。
水主题数据集包含以下数据项：
辅助水文测点、水文钻孔、急流、泉、潮位界标、瀑布、消能点、节制闸、水位站、拦障、落水洞、海岸线、平均高潮位、平均低潮位、模糊范围水域、海湾状水域、河道状水域、海洋状水域、模糊范围水线、河道状水文区域、水道：自然水体、运河-排水沟、水体区域：人工水体、自然水体、水文线、自然水道区域、运河排水沟、溢洪道、引水渠、隧道-虹吸管、连接器、水文测点、自然人工水体、人工水体、命名水道、命名水道。

水资源安全是澳大利亚面临的核心挑战之一。采用全国统一标准的此类数据产品，可助力开展数据分析、优化运营实践并辅助政策决策制定。

数据精度：
本数据集采用澳大利亚国家测绘委员会1975年《地图精度标准》中规定的多比例尺与精度等级数据源采集，比例尺覆盖1:500至1:250000。据此标准，90%的明确要素点位在对应比例尺图上的位置误差不超过0.5mm，即：1:500比例尺对应实地0.25米、1:2000对应1米、1:4000对应2米、1:25000对应12.5米、1:50000对应25米、1:100000对应50米。当前仍有一项持续推进的项目，用于升级本数据集的空间位置与精度。
