The objective of this study was to determine the gene expression of Haemophilus influenzae growing in different in vitro growth condition and compare it to gene expression ruing murine respiratory infection. To accomplish our objective, we performed transcriptomics from in vitro grown samples, as well as dual-RNA sequencing from the pathogen and the host during acute murine respiratory infection from lung homogenates and bronchoalveolar lavages.
