INTERIOR ELEMENT WITH A MOULDED FIBRE PART AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SAME

The invention relates to a method for producing an interior element (8) for a vehicle (9). The method comprises at least the steps: providing (S1) a fibre batting (1) comprising a fibre mixture， which has as its principal constituents at least natural fibres (N) and at least one fusible plastic (K); warming (S2) the fibre batting (1) to a drying temperature range (ΔT tr) and; holding the drying temperature range (ΔTtr) over a drying period (ΔTtr); compressing (S3) the fibre batting (1) during the warming step to a pre-compression density， wherein the drying period (ΔTtr) ends before the pre-compression density is reached; heating (S4) the fibre batting (1) above at least one fusion temperature of the fusible plastic (K) on expiry of the drying period (ΔTtr); finally compressing (S5) the fibre batting (1) to form a moulded fibre part (4); applying (S8) an adhesion promoter layer (2) to at least one surface section (3) of the moulded fibre part (4); applying (S9) a paint coating (5) to the surface section (3) that has been coated with the adhesion promoter layer (2) to form a decorative layer (6). The invention further relates to an interior element (8) produced by the method according to the invention.
