'Ships of Opportunity' (SOOP) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the SOOP sub-facility 'Sensors on Tropical Research Vessels' aboard the RV Cape Ferguson Trip 6469.\n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Seawater Intake Temperature at 1.9m on trip 6469 from 30 Apr 2016 through to 19 May 2016, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a SBE 38 remote temperature sensor manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 38. \n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Salinity at 1.9m on trip 6469 from 30 Apr 2016 through to 19 May 2016, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a SBE 21 conductivity cell manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 21. \n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Turbidity at 1.9m on trip 6469 from 30 Apr 2016 through to 19 May 2016, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a Wet Labs FLNTU-RT Optical sensor (Turbidity and Fluorescence) manufactured by Wetlabs, model FLNTU-RT. \n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Fluorescence at 1.9m on trip 6469 from 30 Apr 2016 through to 19 May 2016, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a Wet Labs FLNTU-RT Optical sensor (Turbidity and Fluorescence) manufactured by Wetlabs, model FLNTU-RT.

本次航次同期还在1.9米水深处部署了盐度观测设备,安装位置同样位于‘开普·弗格森号’研究船上。本次使用的传感器为海鸟电子公司(Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc.)生产的SBE 21型电导率传感器探头(SBE 21 conductivity cell)。
