ORG.one project - Cyclura pinguis, building a reference genome for a basal iguana lineage

Rapid sequencing of the critically endangered Anegada rock iguana (Cyclura pinguis) as part of the ORG.one project https://org.one/oo. C. pinguis is recognized as the ancestral lineage of the rock iguana genus Cyclura. Besides aiding in future taxonomic and comparative genomic studies, this reference genome will also be used to better understand genetic bottlenecks caused by unsanctioned translocations.
