Foreign trade zones (FTZ) are areas in and around points of entry to the Country where commercial merchandise, both foreign and domestic, receives special consideration under traffic and tax burdens. These areas are designated by the federal government and are thus not subject to local approval or changes. The Spokane FTZ is classified as FTZ-224.
自由贸易区（Foreign trade zones, FTZ）是指设于该国入境口岸及其周边的区域，国内外商业货物在此可在通关流程与税负方面享受特殊政策待遇。此类区域由联邦政府划定设立，因此无需经过地方层面的审批或调整。斯波坎自由贸易区被归类为FTZ-224。
