Substrate profiles for MNPR

This data comprises the lossless and seamless profile data of 10 different substrates. In a nutshell: The substrates were scanned using a Canon LiDE 120 at 2400dpi in two directions. The raw scans were reduced, cropped and aligned using Adobe Photoshop The two scans were processed using the Digital Epigraphy Toolbox by Barmpoutis et al. [2010] The extracted 3D substrate profile was normalized and its data rendered using Autodesk Maya The rendered substrate was made seamless using Adobe Photoshop A tutorial on how to replicate this procedure is available here. The seamless substrates are stored within the PNG image files, with the individual data stored in each channel, as follows: Red: u-inclination of the substrate profile Green: v-inclination of the substrate profile Blue: height map of the substrate profile
