Share of global population ready for open insurance 2022, by country

In 2022, China held the highest share of the world's population ready to use open insurance, at just over a third of the total potential open insurance users. This was followed by India and the United States, with 33.3 percent and 6.1 percent of the global population ready to use open insurance, respectively. Open insurance refers to the sharing of large volumes of structured data within a digital ecosystem, in order to spur the development of new and innovative insurance options to be made available for consumers
