Species-Species Interaction (SSI) dataset was developed by institutions including the University of Nantes, focusing on extracting binary inter-species relationships from biomedical texts with a particular emphasis on the gut microbiome. This dataset comprises roughly 1,000 manually annotated binary relationship entries sourced from full scientific articles. During its development, researchers utilized the PubTator system to annotate species, and selected relevant articles from PubTator via specific queries for annotation.
