Morphometric data of step–pool channels and erosional, hillslope landforms from Kasprowy Wierch ski resort and reference catchments (Western Tatra Mountains, Carpathians) - research data

This dataset was collected within the research project “Impact of skiing on high mountain catchment morphodynamic. An example from Kasprowy Wierch region, Polish Tatras.” National Science Centre, Poland grant No. 2020/37/N/ST10/02550.The dataset includes the spatial location of the investigated catchments in .shp format, as well as field measurements of step–pool channels (e.g., channel width, step height, step spacing, drainage area, slope gradient). It also contains morphometric parameters of ski groomer–induced and natural hillslope landforms identified on ski runs, including information on their temporal persistence and calculated eroded volumes for the 2012–2023 and 2019–2020 time intervals.The repository additionally includes Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) derived from terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) surveys conducted during summer and autumn field campaigns, provided as part of the project outputs. All morphometric parameters are provided in CSV format.
