Due to the excellent physiochemical properties of bacterial cellulose, Enterobacter sp. FY-07 has potential applications in many industries such as paper making, food, medicine, headphone and loudspeaker membranes and oil exploration. Enterobacter sp. FY-07 was the first reported strain which can produce BC under anaerobic conditions. Through genome sequencing, we can explore the bacterial cellulose synthesis mechanism of Enterobacter sp. FY-07 under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. This exploration also can provide more knowledge for bacterial cellulose mechanism.
