Large Scale Wind Tunnel Simulation of a Low-Rise Residential Building

The main objective of the project is to ascertain the effects of roof shapes and coverings on uplift pressures and the dynamic response of flexible roofing systems subjected to hurricane winds.This project was defined to collect aerodynamic data at a large-scale model of the TTU test building (1:6 scale) and investigate the efficacy and accuracy of the partial turbulence simulation method (PTS) to predict the peak wind loads compared to available full-scale data. This dataset includes high resolution pressure data and wind speed measurements. The data collection and correction processes, and the test procedures are explained in the attached report.
