Longitudinal Establishment of Human Fecal Bacterial Communities in Human Microbiota-Associated (HMA) Porcine and Murine Models

The goal of this study was to compare the establishment of fecal bacterial communities from 4 human donors (representing an infant, child, adult, and elderly donor) in germ-free mice and germ-free piglets with the aim of determining in which animal model a more 'human-like' microbiota can be established.
