资源简介:
This is the supplementary material for the paper titled “Risks associated with subtotal cholecystectomy and the factors influencing them: a systematic review and meta-analysis of 85 studies published between 1985 and 2020”. This review appraises 17 clinical outcomes among 3,645 patients. It shows that there are significant risks of subtotal cholecystectomy-related perioperative morbidity and postoperative interventions that are not comparable to the risks associated with conventional cholecystectomy. It also shows that patients would benefit most from a reconstituting subtotal cholecystectomy using a laparoscopic approach. This supplementary material provides further methodological and analytical details. It contains the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) checklist of items, risk of bias assessment according to Joanne-Biggs Institute criteria, definitions of key terms used in the review, characteristics of the 85 studies included in the systematic review and meta-analyses, patient demographics, indications for subtotal cholecystectomy, surgical characteristics of the included studies, clinical outcomes of subtotal cholecystectomy, outcomes for pooled subgroup analyses by four clinical and two study factors, outcomes for pooled analysis for the type of completion of subtotal cholecystectomy in prospective studies and the list of 85 references for the included studies.
